This role is a critical strategy and planning role working closely with CMO in New York and the marketing teams in LA.

The Marketing Planning Director, based in New York, will be responsible for preparing strategic initiatives including presentations to C-level IMAX executive and IMAX partners. Will act as the liaison to Los Angeles marketing team to help present the delivery of key milestones to the CMO, including financial reporting, film marketing reporting, and critical strategic projects. This role will play a critical liaison role managing the operating relationship between IMAX’s divisions and the CMO.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as a strategic planner for the CMO – understanding the key priorities of the CMO and the division and ensuring they are addressed efficiently and well
  • Work closely with the Operations Director to synthesize data that needs to be reported regularly: financial information, performance information, and critical successes highlighting marketing’s status against key KPIs and goals.
  • Partner with Operations Director to coordinate the marketing budget
  • Understanding the CMO’s vision, write and assemble decks for partner presentations, conferences and Events, etc.
  • Act as key stakeholder for CMO office, to provide input to such things as – KPI development, reporting tools and marketing software, etc. to ensure the needs of the CMO office are meet
  • Assist with the development of strategic plans
  • Maintain and manage the coordination of information and requirements as requested by the CMO
  • Handle special projects

What we’re looking for:

  • Brand Marketing Knowledge, 7-10+ years of experience
  • Self-starter; needs little direction
  • Incredibly detail oriented
  • Superior writing and verbal communication skills
  • Handle numerous projects and frenetic pace of film marketing
  • Superior diplomacy and communication skills with peers and external partners
  • Excellent presentation skills (strategy, creation, delivery)
  • Ability to work with and communicate at all levels of an organization (from C-suite to coordinator)
  • Financial Knowledge & Planning; understands a P&L
  • Has built and managed large strategic projects
  • Brand marketing experience
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to interface with both marketing and operations departments
  • Comfortable in all Microsoft tools, Keynote, In-design, other
