The Director of Pharmacy (DOP) is responsible for all elements of the pharmacy program corporately for acute care services, including operations, supply chain management, financial oversight, human resources management, clinical services, and guest relations. The DOP provides corporate pharmacy leadership for regulatory compliance, operations, policy management, sterile compounding, and controlled substance oversight programs. The DOP works collaboratively with departmental leadership across the organization.

Required Experience

Minimum Requirements

 

 

 

 

  • Pharmacy degree (Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy)
  • Missouri Board of Pharmacy pharmacist license with Medication Therapy Services (MTS) designation in good standing
  • Completion of TMC Medical Staff Credentialing and Privileging process
  • Minimum of five years medical center or multi-site pharmacy experience
  • Minimum of five years in pharmacy management

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree
  • Advanced degree in health care management, such as an MS, MHA, or MBA
  • Completion of an ASHP-Accredited PGY1 Residency
  • Completion of an ASHP-Accredited PGY2 Residency
  • Board certification through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties
  • Ability to direct and manage a pharmacy residency (e.g. previous involvement as a preceptor in an ASHP-accredited residency program, management experience, previous experience as a course coordinator)
