Job Description

Administrative Director of Perioperative Services plans, directs, and coordinates the development and implementation of programs and services consistent with the mission of the hospital.  Responsible for strategic planning, business development and growth, and quality improvement plans for all complex surgical centers.  Coordinates and supports administration and management in the integration of financial, clinical and quality issues for all complex surgical service lines to achieve high quality service in an efficient and economic manner.  Develops collaborative relationships with medical directors, medical groups, and the community to ensure a continuum focus and enhancement of the image of the surgical centers.  Provides consultation in the designated clinical specialty to related healthcare personnel and other entities regarding program development and departmental operations.  Evaluates and coordinates clinical research studies for the specialty services lines in conjunction with medical directors.  Provides leadership in forecasting future trends for all complex surgical service lines for all surgical centers. Candidate is required to hold a Masters Degree in Health Care or Business Administration MBA or MHA from an accredited university or college [Diploma required].  Doctorate degree preferred.  Five years of upper management with clinical surgical experience.  Must have the following skills and aptitudes in strategic planning, evaluation of financial analysis, market, program growth and development, conflict resolution, physician relationship management, able to negotiate contracts for cost containment and customer service.

Job Requirements

Required: Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited university or college.  [Diploma Required].

 

Five years of upper management with clinical surgical experience.  Must have the following skills and aptitudes: strategic planning, evaluation of financial analysis, market, program growth and development, conflict resolution, physician relationship management,  negotiation of contracts for cost containment and customer service.

 

Preferred:  Masters Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration MBA or MHA from an accredited university or college.
