Responsibilities

The Director of Patient Services assumes accountability for the management of the Emergency and Inpatient Service Department under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Site Administrator. . This position also oversees Quality and Infection Control activities for the hospital. He/she works collaboratively with Chief Nursing Officer/ Site Administrator and provides strategic leadership and administration in the areas of patient care, education, safety and quality in accordance with the organization policies and standard of professional nursing practice. He/she promotes a professional practice environment and develops and maintains collegial and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across the institution to positively impact the business of clinical operations, nursing and patient care outcomes. These partnerships include ongoing collaboration with physician, clinician and patient/family education, customer service, patient safety, financial outcomes, personnel management, and quality outcomes management and regulatory compliance. This is a full-time exempt position.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing, Baccalaureate is required.
  • Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice is required
  • At least 2 years of nursing leadership experiencerequired.
