Hoffman Southwest Corp, the largest franchise operation for Roto-Rooter in North America, is seeking a Director of Operations for their Water Restoration Division. About one thousand employees strong we are based in Mission Viejo, CA serving more than 30 branches of Roto-Rooter, Water Restoration, ProPipe, and Western Drain residential, commercial, municipalities, and utility customers.

Our newest division, water restoration, is growing fast, and we are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader for this progressive area of our business.

Our growing Water Restoration business is seeking an experienced Director of Operations who can collaborate with departmental managers to grow the business, ensure efficiency in operations, improve policies, create business plans and develop budgets as necessary. The Director of Operations will also be responsible for helping to update and develop division policies. The ideal candidate for this position possesses proven leadership skills, strong business acumen as well as a strong and proven ability to problem solve and make sound decisions that encourage growth.


Lead the Water Restoration business at 8locations (2 in southern California, 2 in Arizona, 2 in Texas, 1 in Oregon and 1 in Utah).

Create operational and training processes and procedures to ensure the division is operating efficiently, effectively, and profitably.

Improve business processes through analysis and collaboration with corporate support teams.

Coordinate long-term business planning at the managerial and executive level.

Collaborate with management to develop financial plans.

Provide direct supervision to Project Managers.

Work with Project Managers to develop budgets for special programs and projects.

Motivate employees to perform at optimum quality and safety levels

Establish and communicate clear standards of performance, and key performance indicators to measure profitability, excellent customer service, and quality work.

Operate efficiently with minimal supervision


Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred but not required

At least 10 years of consistent experience in leadership role, including operations and sales/business development experiencerequired

Must be available to travel to assigned branches (50% - 60%)

Experience in the Water Restoration industry preferred; Home Improvement, Home Security, or Pest Control industry experience will be considered.

Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Effective decision-making skills.

Experience developing budgets and writing business plans
