Position Summary: This position is responsible for all facets of the Stafford, TX manufacturing site. The incumbent will lead the local management team to ensure that financial objectives are met and quality standards are upheld.
Coach site management team to ensure success of the site and further the management team members’ professional development.
Interface with onsite Quality department to ensure a culture of continuous improvement.
Maintains and promotes company culture.
Oversees hiring and firing decisions for the site.
Represents the site within Cooper Surgical to assist other sites and departments.
Responsible for maintaining inventory levels in distribution centers by defining acceptable stocking levels, obtaining Senior Management buy-in, and defining planning methodologies.
Responsible for efficient use use of production staff.
Responsible for continual cost improvement via lean process improvement as well as capital investment.
Utilizes ERP software to manage and monitor manufacturing effectiveness.
Builds annual operating budget and ensures adherence to budget.
Builds annual CAPEX budget and executes capital projects on time and within budget.
Identifies cost savings opportunities, budgets for the opportunities, and then executes accordingly.
Reports on financial performance to Senior Management on a regular basis.
Interfaces with regulatory agencies during audits: FDA and ISO.
Ensures adherence to quality and regulatory requirements through a culture of quality and continual improvement.
Oversees sterilization, packaging, and labeling processes.
Drives process control via statistically sound validation methods.
Manages raw materials inventory and operational transactions for adherence to company policies
Ensures inventory shrinkage is minimal.
Ensures facility is maintained and operational through regular preventative maintenance.
Ensures facility adheres to 5S tenets as befitting a medical device manufacturing site.
Ensure safe working conditions are maintained for all employees.
Performs additional duties or assignments as directed by management.
10 plus years in operations management.Medical device experience is preferred.
Bachelor Degree in related Science Discipline, Master degree is a plus.
Abilities and skills in management & organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent mathematical and statistical skills.
Ability to learn and utilize a computer in standard business applications including ERP, MRP, and capacity planning.
Experience in financialbudgeting, management, and reporting is a plus.
Track record of successful improvements utilizing lean techniques.
Knowledge of FDA Medical Device Regulations and ISO 13485 regulations.
Passing of background check which may include verification of prior employment, criminal conviction, history, educational and driving records.
