Position Responsibilities:
General Administrative

  • Serve in a leadership role to manage and execute goals and objectives based upon outlined operational deliverables
  • Develop a playbook of best-in-class strategies to optimize and streamline operations
  • Strategize and execute on the operational process improvement roadmap. Leverage technology and automation where possible, including organizational infrastructure needs
  • Provide oversight of documentation of operational process flows and relationship maps. Work in collaboration with client process flow resources.
  • Incorporate documentation into operational policies and procedures
  • Stay abreast of key trends and industry insights
  • Build out BizOps team and processes. Maintain key metrics related to these functions

Reporting and Analytics

  • Responsible for management of financial reporting related to settlement and applicable fees. Work collaboratively with in-house/outsourced accounting resources to achieve financial reconciliation reporting objectives
  • Responsible for gathering and documenting reporting requirements, and working with technical development team to implement
  • Responsible for reporting tools, documentation and delivery for both internal and external facing stakeholders
  • Monitor and manage settlement reconciliation data from all applicable parties, including interchange (Funds flows and settlement (daily, monthly, etc.) across multiple clearing partners)
  • Research automation options from STAR Station reporting resources
  • Responsible for ongoing management and communication of the Operational Dashboard.

System Management

  • Work with remote development team (using agile scrum methodology) to assist with the development and preparation of user stories and acceptance criteria in advance of each sprint
  • Document operational decisions to align with product roadmap and ensure management makes conscious decision on technical debt
  • Develop expertise on STAR Station and other applicable network portals in order to achieve required operational reporting and financial settlement needs
    • Communicate STAR Station training materials via Xformative tools (wiki or other)
    • Responsible for reviewing and communicating information from STAR Notifications
    • Work in collaboration with development team and other necessary resources to manage the development of comprehensive User Guides (internal ops users) for existing system(s)
    • Lead the day-to-day by actively monitoring daily operations and proactively resolving issues as they arise. Implement systematic controls to reduce operational risk and ensure high uptime
    • Source and diligence innovative technology vendors that expand our operations toolkit
  • Monitor transaction, authorization and decision data

Client Management

  • Responsible for management of necessary compliance tools and processes to support OFAC, BSA/AML, Know Your Customer and other compliance functions
  • Entry and Monitor Exception Processing Files (exception handling and adjustments)
  • Support Sales and Product Management with new Client onboarding (Client #2)
  • Support Sales and Product Management with Product Rollout (i.e. TASC Upgrade and other Innovation projects)
  • Everyday contact for Client Operations
  • Everyday contact for certain Supplier/Vendor Operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Five or more years experience in a payments operations leadership role
  • Three or more years management experience
  • Knowledge of settlement, reconciliation, product management, business analysis, and reporting required
  • Experience in agile methodology
