Job Description
Job Overview

This position is responsible for all operations activities for the Canadian division including: customer service, distribution, purchasing, demand planning, logistics, sales support, service, facilities, and quality assurance.

As a member of the Canadian Leadership Team, the individual must be comfortable working in a matrix environment with multiple Commercial, Business Operations and Global Operations constituents

Individual Responsibilities:
• Coach, develop and lead direct reports by providing developmental growth opportunities
• Build and maintain exceptional employee engagement throughout the department
• Oversee individualized training and development plans for all staff
• Conduct annual performance reviews and mid-year interim performance reviews
• Conduct employee engagement sessions annually, and create & execute action plans based on these sessions
• Responsible for departmental compliance with company policies and corrective actions
• Proactively collaborates with internal teams/departments to promote a culture of inclusiveness and cooperation
• Responsible to live and drive Stryker’s values: Integrity, Accountability, Performance and People Functional

• Overall responsibility for the functioning of the customer service, distribution, purchasing, demand planning, logistics, sales support, service, and quality assurance departments
• Assembles a high-quality team to create a sustainable, high-performing culture in which service, quality, and cost management are paramount
• Leads internal efforts to measure and improve the quality of the customer experience by increasing warehouse and logistics accuracy and reliability; investigate and resolve customer complaints and create a culture of continuous improvement
• Leads efforts to increase inventory control through rigorous management of the purchasing, demand planning, loaner & inventory management process
• Creates a proactive approach to labour planning, which includes analysis of historical volumes and projected demand, rigorous productivity tracking, and output standards for every distribution process
• Measures and communicates the team’s progress towards a number of KPIs, and integrate these metrics into a results-oriented culture
• Integrates Commercial and Business Operations needs into a forward looking strategy for Operations
• Ensures that Stryker’s day-to-day activities run smoothly.
• Oversees and manages departmental budget
• Responsible for all aspects of the facilities in which we conduct operations
• Leads, coaches and develops Operations supervisory and management staff
• Other duties as assigned,

Education & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree required
• 7-10 years management experience including leadership of supervisory staff
• Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
