Director of Operations -SHN at Southcoast Health System in New Bedford, MA

We are searching for a Director of Operations to perform diversified duties to support and improve the day-to-day operations of Southcoast Health Network’s(SHN) focused programs and practices consistent with the strategic vision of the organization. Responsible for the operations and administrative support for all facets of the Medicaid ACO, and serve as a primary liaison to MassHealth and the MCO joint venture partner, including program budget management and all reporting requirements. Provide operational direction to the SHN operations coordinator and SHN teams related to all aspects of SHN operations including payer-based quality programs within SHN practices (SPG and affiliates) including the Southcoast Accountable Care Organization/MSSP. Collaborate with other Southcoast entities to ensure coordination of service delivery, information technology, financial, strategic initiatives, talent management, quality and regulatory resources. Promote cooperation by developing and maintaining open lines of communication between SC entities, care centers, service lines and SHN’s operational teams/departments with all constituencies within the health system to provide patient-centered care. Similarly, work effectively with payer plans (government and commercial) to maintain open communications and effective strategies to drive successful performance defined by payer plans. Education and/or Experience Requirements:

• A Master’s Degree in Health Care, Business Administration or other related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of assigned specialty inpatient, outpatient, clinical and administrative services, management information systems, financial principles including the ability to prepare and interpret budgets and financial reports, development of business plans for services and capital equipment, and regulatory and reimbursement issues required.
• A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years management and supervisory experience including care center and/or practice operations and administrative experience is required.
• Administrative and leadership experience with all facets of the current Massachusetts Medicaid ACO program.
