Reporting to the CIO and serving as an integral member of the senior management team, the Director of Operations will be responsible to aid in the development of POINTcore’s financial management strategy and contribute to the development of the organization’s strategic goals. In addition to the strategic components, the Director of Operations will be charged with developing and implementing more sophisticated policies and procedures both in the finance and general operational realms. The Director of Operations will be accountable for development of work plans, sales forecasting, resource planning and the packaging of programs and solutions to bring products to market.
Responsible to provide vision, structured analysis, process design, system selection, system architecture, development, testing, implementation and support of systems and stewardship of resources in an assigned area. Responsible for the identification, prioritization, resolution of issues, and the allocation of workload and resources within the assigned team. Ensures coordination and integration of workflow with other departments. Manages expenses, prepares status reports, and makes recommendations for service and product enhancements. Monitors performance and continuously improves the quality of services and products delivered. Prepares status reports on projects and operational performance of their area of responsibility. Reviews and evaluates work of staff members and manages departmental performance. Participates in Advisory Councils as appropriate to assigned area of responsibility and obtains feedback from end users to establish the direction, goals, and priorities of the assigned team. They will be accountable for the ongoing relationship management for existing and future clients.
Knowledge of healthcare delivery and management, information technology, basic budgeting, and healthcare legislation at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Nursing, or other closely related field in order to understand management principles and finance.
Excellence in organizational management with the ability to lead staff to manage and develop high-performance teams and develop and implement program strategies.
Experience in program budgeting and fiscal management.
Track record of effectively leading a direct service organize with a complex array of programs with the ability to leverage strengths across program areas; excellent project management skills.
Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate to staff key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals.
Ability to point to specific examples of having led organizational transformation projects and program development.
Past experience managing human resources function including personnel, compensation, and recruiting.
At least 5 years of experience managing complex projects which integrate information technology.
At least 3 years within the Healthcare industry.
Experience with critical path method scheduling software application and portfolio management.
Experience with system implementation and support in the healthcare industry.
