What you bring to the table:
- Education: Graduation from an accreditedschool of nursing
(MSN preferred)
- Nursing experience: 3+ years of floornursing
- Management experience: 5+ years inlong-term care
- Licensure: RN license in good standing inIllinois
- Strong experience developing andimplementing quality improvement programs
- Ability to translate the goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department into actionable items
- Knowledgeable in state reporting and theability to develop and implement plan of corrections
- Strong communication skills and ability tocollaborate with team
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise all nursing staff
- Overseeing department budgets
- Maintaining high standards of care for allresidents
- DON acts as a Liaison between doctors, patients, andfamily members about resident's plan of care
- Director of Nursing collaborates on the recruitmentand trainingof new nursing staff
- Ensure proper training for staff ondepartment policies
- Nursing Director implements qualityimprovement programs to help us deliver the highest possible levels of care inour community
