Located in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, Hermitage Hall is CARF-accredited residential treatment facility for children and teens who struggle with a variety of social, emotional and behavioral difficulties. The Director of Nursing oversees professional nursing care for residents of the treatment program and is liaison and coordinator of medical services. Practices ongoing client assessments, evaluations and updates of client care through the observation of physical and behavioral symptoms and communicate pertinent data to other service areas as needed. Participates in development and maintenance of budget for department. Communicates with responsible party for financial needs of referred medical care. In conjunction with Human Resources, oversee infection control records and data and (routine required employee health/medical requirements.) Provides the authority and accountability for the provision of nursing care and practices by establishing facility standards of care and ensures policies and procedures are followed based on these current practice standards. Accountability is maintained through delegating, coordinating, and providing supervision to nursing personnel. Specifically, ensures therapeutic techniques support the utilization of the nursing process that promotes safe, effective and cost efficient resident care.

Qualifications

Licensure: Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of TN. Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited nursing program; Master of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred.Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience in behavioral health setting
