The Clinical Director of Med/Surg will workunder the supervision of the ChiefNurse Officer following the AmericanNurses Association (ANA) standards of practice and Code of Ethics.Responsible for coordinating and overseeing care of patients of a variety of ages and both genders as appropriate to the provision of care. Develops and evaluates personnel and maintains all operational aspects of the assigned areas on a twenty-four hour basis in collaboration with physicians and nursing administration. Provides professional guidance to personnel and insures adherence to established policies, procedures and accepted standards of care. Promotescooperation and positive working relationship at all levels departmentally and interdepartmentally.
Experience and Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Florida license. Bachelorâ€™s degree in Nursing, Business or Health Related field preferred, or actively pursuing Bachelorâ€™s in Nursing, Business, or Health Related field, to be completed within three years. Masters Preferred.
Minimum of 5 five years' of experience in related field as a Registered Nurse. including five (5) years of management or supervisory experience. Must have an active RN license within the state of Florida and current BLS by the American Heart Association.
