Director of Marketing Ops
eHealth is seeking a seasoned Director of Marketing Operations, who will shape and lead our Marketing Operations function and lead the development of scalable processes and programs to empower the marketing team to drive aggressive results. This role will develop, implement, and improve operational processes and systems that create efficiencies and alignment within marketing and with key business partners. This is an amazing opportunity to define and build a marketing operations function that impacts the way eHealth markets and engages with our customers. This is a highly cross functional role requiring both strategic and tactical execution, strong program management, and the ability to drive strong and focused marketing practices while developing the marketing technology strategy. This role monitors overall marketing performance benchmarking against best in class. This role will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and can be based in our Santa Clara or San Francisco office.
Marketing Operations is the heartbeat of marketing where people, processes, metrics and goals are brought into alignment. We are seeking an experienced marketing operations director who is passionate and able to build a strategic marketing operations function that enables marketing to deliver on our aggressive growth targets and strategic goals. You will use your operational skills and expertise to bring strategic plans to life in close partnership with the marketing teams and internal partners. You are a strategic problem solver, comfortable using data to inform new ways of working, and experienced at delivering operational processes that create efficiencies and alignment across marketing channels.

You have experience developing processes for high growth marketing organizations with exceptional problem-solving skills and an ability to work closely with marketing, sales, finance and technical stakeholders. You are a growth driver, someone who not only supports the needs of the team, but a person who thrives on identifying and chasing opportunities to accelerate the business.
What You Will be Doing:
Marketing reporting & spend mix optimization - Provide business level accountability across marketing channels and align the marketing organization priorities to the broader business initiatives through marketing spend mix changes, initiatives to improve marketing efficiency, and goal setting. Broader responsibilities include working across key stakeholder groups, such as Product, Finance, and Sales and be the primary source of data and insights that help marketing forecast, meet, and exceed our revenue targets.
Budgeting and planning - Run or support all marketing planning efforts including annual planning, quarterly goal setting, and ongoing marketing spend mix allocation across channels. Ongoing management of the marketing budget with budget owners in marketing and be the main point of contact with Finance to ensure budget is current and reconciled. Work with marketing leadership to effectively balance resource allocation across the team.
Process – Identify, design, and execute new processes that enable marketers to be more effective in their day to day work. Work hand-in-hand with Sales Operations and Marketing Analytics on cross-functional initiatives that impact sales and marketing effectiveness, maximize ROI, and deliver on our overall unit cost targets.
Analysis – Benchmark current marketing activities, performance, and investment levels, and develop a strategy for continual improvement. Partner with the Marketing Analytics team to define the CMO dashboard and key performance indicators for the marketing channel performance management. Analyze data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization and marketing effectiveness for marketing programs, working with marketers to evaluate results and identify opportunities for growth and expansion. Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver company-wide metrics and analysis to management and executive stakeholders.
Marketing technology – Partner with the Product, Engineering, and Marketing Analytics teams to make sure that the MarTech stack is fully integrated and optimized around the customer. Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize marketing team performance and share your recommendations with the Engineering and Data Science teams in order to optimize marketing performance and give the business a competitive edge over others in the market.
Collaboration – Work cross-functionally, collaborating with key stakeholders to understand challenges and opportunities that marketing can impact. Influence leaders and colleagues to see beyond their comfort zones, make tough decisions when required, and role model agility for the organization. Keep a pulse on top priorities for the marketing organization and drive action through program management.
Communication – Effectively communicate across the marketing and broader organization, sharing project updates, timelines, processes and results, whilst also championing the marketing team and demonstrating our impact on the business.
· Bachelor's Degree in business or another related field of study
