Position Summary: The Director of Marketing Communications will be responsible for leading our talented marketing team in an effort to bolster revenue, increase attendance, and drive fan engagement. This position will develop the strategic marketing plan for the team with an emphasis on social and digital media strategy, promotional events, and gameday entertainment. Requires extensive marketing experience, a proven ability to lead a staff, and superior execution of initiatives. Essential Functions: 1. Develop and implement annual integrated marketing plan – driving key marketing objectives and strategies 2. Work with the Director of Marketing Creative to establish overall annual creative campaign while keeping club on-brand through all communications
3. Develop key marketing partnerships to help build brand awareness & drive revenue
4. Work with Director of Marketing Creative and executive management to create and manage marketing budget 5. Manage traditional, digital, and social marketing campaigns, with a focus on tracking and maximizing ROI 6. Responsible for digital and social media content including in-bound campaigns and content aimed at driving traffic, lead generation, online visibility, and user engagement 7. Ensure marketing obligations are met for corporate partners 8. Identify new technologies that help reach organizations’ overall business objectives 9. Oversee grass-roots initiatives throughout the year 10. Manage mascot program, including Parker’s Prospects kids’ club 11. Oversee email, marketing automation, and database marketing to drive lead generation and ticket sales with measurable ROI 12. Generate ideas and implement activations to grow Grizzlies’ database and email distribution list 13. Conduct digital market research surveys to help understand fan behaviors 14. Use appropriate research platforms to provide data on purchasing behaviors, media usage across platforms, and lifestyle trends in the local market 15. Provide weekly analytics reports on digital and social media buy performance and ROI 16. Support all other departments through appropriate marketing channels and platforms
17. Assist executive management with additional projects as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, or related field 2. Minimum three (3) years full-time directly related work experience 3. Supervisory experience required 4. Experience in sports industry preferred 5. Knowledgeable in digital and social advertising 6. Proficient in Microsoft Office 7. Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator required 8. Excellent problem-solving ability 9. Ability to work effectively on an individual basis and within a team framework 10. Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and achieve objectives 11. Strong planning and organizational skills 12. Strong communications skills, both verbal and written 13. Superior attention to detail 14. Ability to maintain a professional business image

Environmental Conditions: 1. Indoors in typical office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations, and temperature changes approximately seventy-five percent (75%) of the time 2. Outdoors in a stadium environment with exposure to noise, heat, and cold approximately twenty-five (25%) of the time 3. Frequent computer use at workstation up to two hours at a time 4. Frequently work at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions 5. Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines or on game days 6. May move (walk or drive) from one work location to another occasionally
