Responsible for the design, development, execution and management of the Extended Road Side Assistance directorate. This will include all equipment with issues over the road and the relationships which expedites their recovery / repair.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and Implement asset management business plan and best practices.
Define and manage strategies for all company owned assets needing assistance over the road
Lead the implementation of operational improvements, policies and procedures.
Partner with stakeholders to devise and execute strategy.
Direct, supervise and manage employees and leaders in area of responsibility by giving direction, monitoring performance, and providing feedback
Identify training and developmental needs, provide opportunities for learning and growth and participate in the hiring, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of employees, leaders, and managers within area.
Develop, manage, prepare, and review all Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for assigned area and improve areas above and below goals.
Manage triage call center, truck solutions, trailer solutions and administrative teams in regards to all service, documentation and payment purposed for all over the road equipment recover / repair needs.
Work with executive management to develop solutions and recommendations for process improvements in respect to all over the road maintenance requirements, coordination with company shops, and improved maintenance cost initiatives.
Identify customer concerns by listening and informing leadership as needed so corrective action can be taken to resolve.
Maintain appropriate maintenance and equipment data screens in area of responsibility by ensuring correct information and status are entered.
Ensure ready equipment over the road is returned to operation with minimal delays.
Perform other duties as needed to support equipment and asset management efforts.
Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience required. Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in truck transportation maintenance supervision or management.
Knowledge of vehicle components and maintenance procedures.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
Exhibited sound judgment and problem solving.
Excellent Written and Oral Communication with senior management, peers, technicians, drivers and suppliers.
Ability to multi-task and handle a fast paced, changing environment.
