Warby Parker is looking for a Director of Loss Prevention and Corporate Security to lead all loss prevention and security functions for our retail stores, HQs, optical lab, and online platforms. In this role, you’ll develop and implement policies, programs, and procedures to control risk, reduce shrinkage, and protect our employees and assets. We’ll rely on you to collaborate and consult across the organization to help manage, identify, evaluate, control, and minimize exposure to all forms of loss in a way that’s financially responsible and operationally sustainable. What you’ll do:

  • Develop a comprehensive and scalable loss prevention and corporate security plan to support Warby Parker’s growth targets
  • Develop and lead a high-functioning, positive, and collaborative culture within the Loss Prevention team
  • Collaborate with our Store Operations, Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, and Technology teams on loss prevention and business continuity planning initiatives that impact the entire organization
  • Think strategically to manage risk and minimize exposure to emerging threats and trends
  • Partner with leaders to develop, communicate, implement, monitor, and track the results of a plan to combat theft across all channels (online and in store)
  • Discover and investigate cases, then provide operating areas with well-developed findings, recommendations, and considerations
  • Support new store openings and ongoing stores’ loss prevention initiatives, ensuring timely and efficient security services and equipment
  • Drive the organization’s internal training and awareness of controls, processes, and procedures (e.g., employee discount and purchase policy, facilities safety procedures, nightly closing protocol)
  • Work with local law enforcement agencies to build community-level partnerships
  • Drive corporate BCP and development

Who you are:

  • Backed by at least 7 years of experience in an enterprise-wide, multi-unit loss prevention leadership position at a high-growth (preferably retail) organization
  • A strong organizational leader who has experience managing and developing an effective team
  • Able to form strong partnerships across reporting relationships
  • Driven by the highest sense of professionalism and able to handle confidential matters
  • Familiar with the latest retail loss prevention trends and developments
  • Analytical, especially when diagnosing the root cause of a deficiency
  • An effective communicator (in person and in writing) when working with internal and external team members at all levels
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • A G Suite expert
