Job Description

This position is responsible for the implementation, operation and overall management of the IT infrastructure, systems and security and compliance practices in order to strengthen the productivity and profitability of Omni Hotels’ operations through reliable and stable technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a balanced, high level of knowledge and support of both Network Administration and Server/Systems administration
  • Provide support to the Network Administrators in terms of implementation, documentation and testing the systems
  • Provide monitoring and reporting on accessibility of applications and technical infrastructure
  • Work closely with Systems Administrators, Developers, End User Support and Managers to ensure seamless secure integration of new applications into the network
  • Provide hands-on support as well as coaching and mentoring to the IT team members
  • Troubleshoot network performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan
  • Evaluate and monitor external and internal threat levels, assesses the organization’s defensive posture, associated risks, and implements mitigating controls and remedies
  • Develop, maintain and document Enterprise security Policies, and network configurations
  • Provide tactical and strategic input on overall network planning and information security
  • Serve as liaison with leadership, legal, compliance and corporate risk management to analyze new requirements, standards and capabilities and to determine feasibility and timing of implementation of new programs and capabilities  
  • Partner with Operations teams to drive adoption and implementation of information security policies, procedures, standards and incident handling processes
  • Build vendor relationships with strategic and technical partners
  • Provide clear direction to achieve goals, creating an environment that fosters team commitment and employee engagement
  • Demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills and is capable of communicating to all levels and areas of the organization

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of business processes, management, budgeting and office operations
  • Substantial experience and skills with data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, outsourced systems, network and data security and security compliance
  • Knowledge of systems design and development from business requirements analysis through day-to-day management
  • Ability to communicate in non-technical terms to business stakeholders – written and oral
  • Ability to work effectively in a coordinating role across multiple disciplines and diverse environments, a strong, open and collaborative work style and a service-orientated attitude
  • Proven ability to negotiate contracts with IT vendors and consultants
  • Demonstrates initiative, dependability and accountability
  • Demonstrates creativity in solving problems or generating improvement ideas
  • Self-motivated time management
  • Supports and maintains positive attitude and vision with peers, associates, and management
  • Ability to prioritize numerous requests and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information                         
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in technology field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Hospitality industry
  • Must have 5 years of experience in planning, architecting and delivering mission-critical enterprise-grade systems and solutions
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working closely with Project Stakeholders, Executive Management and front line associates to determine requirements and needs aligned to business goals and objectives
  • Must have experience in supervising a staff of 15 or more people across a variety of disciplines 
  • Must be experienced with 24x7 operations
  • Bachelor’s degree. Preferred degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
