Lead the Analytics team embedded in the US Racing P&L, responsible for building the Racing Analytics infrastructure and providing analysis and insight on the Racing business (Online and Retail).
THE GAME PLAN
Work closely with the Racing commercial team to provide the analytical capabilities needed in the decision-making process. Partner with marketing team to assess the efficiency of the acquisition and retention spend. Set standards for data science within team and evolve data science techniques across company, developing and disseminating best practices for data analytics. Translate complex quantitative research and analysis into actionable business recommendations, parsing data for non-technical audience. Identify analytical and technology gaps and areas for innovation, working closely with the data teams to help develop and improve the current data structure. Develop, iterate and take to production machine learning models to solve business problems. Explore and use different analysis, modeling, reporting tools to improve scalability, and accelerate the conversion of data to insight. Build solutions for teams to self-serve data as feasible, accelerating BAU and fostering reliance on analytical research. Manage a team of three data scientists and an analyst.
