  • Be a leader within the HR team while empowering each function to support the business toward the overall company initiatives
  • Implement customary HR programs to help the business attract, retain and motivate talent.  This includes: performance management, compensation cycles, awards and staffing/recruiting initiatives
  • Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values
  • Develops organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; and, establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives
  • Consult with line management and providing HR guidance when appropriate
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with Legal department as needed/required
  • Leverage organizational assessment and design methodology to improve productivity
  • Own productivity by maximizing talent and workplanning processes
  • Lead HR personnel including Talent and/or Comp and Benefit practice
  • Provide day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
  • Provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met
  • Develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results


  • Minimum of 5 years in a management-level Human Resources position
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws
