The ideal candidate will have experience in the management of vacant positions; assist in administering corrective actions when needed; addressing work performance issues; employee conflict resolution; update and implement policies and procedures; assist in the annual development of budgets for entire organization; develop & administer competitive compensation and position classification programs; respond to unemployment claims with human resource related information; administer and explain benefits programs & paperwork for each employee which may be required; conduct exit interviews when appropriate; and initiate staff action in the payroll system.
Must have degree from a four (4) year college or university; minimum of five (5) years experience responsible for human resources with at least two (2) years of supervisory experience; thorough knowledge of local, state, federal labor laws; knowledge of public sector compensation, employee relations, training, corrective action, performance appraisal, record keeping programs; superior computer skills, budgeting experience, strong communication skills both verbal and written.
