Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Provide strong, innovative, business-focused HR strategic leadership and operational HR management
  • Lead and develop a strong, high performing HR team in a support center model
  • Provide strong leadership and support in talent/performance management, talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, leadership development, employee engagement/retention, change management and diversity/inclusion initiatives
  • Implement strategies to attract and select the best talent to meet current and future business needs
  • Support contract phase-ins and integration activities within NSS and the LOB
  • Adapt approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations
  • Ensure excellent employee relations and mitigate risks by safeguarding compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Effectively build formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization
  • Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
  • Interpret and apply understanding of key financial indicators to make better business decisions
  • Participate as part of the A&T HR Leadership Team to drive HR operational excellence across the LOB to include potential involvement in LOB special projects
  • Partner with the NSS Leadership Team to provide strong customer focused HR delivery to a distributed workforce
  • Drive and support a strong safety culture throughout the organization
  • Fuel commitment and alignment with Jacobs vision, mission and values
  • Gain the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity and authenticity
  • Hold self and others accountable to meet commitments
  • Build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions for both internal and external customers

 

Qualifications

 Must have Active TS SCI clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree required (in Human Resources or related field highly desired). SPHR certification a strong asset
  • Seasoned HR professional with 10+ years of HR experience and at least 5 years in a senior people leadership role for a total of 15+ years in HR field.
  • Experience in a professional services organization and/or global environment, Federal Contracts, Military, DOD, Intelligence, Information Technology (or similar) would be an advantage
  • Experience with Taleo, PeopleSoft, Oracle HR is a plus
  • Experience with Wage Determination/Service Contract Act, cleared facilities and Global Mobility is preferred
  • Experience working with a deployed workforce is desirable
  • Demonstrated business acumen and passion for strategic HR work, while maintaining high level execution of tactical HR process and deliverables
  • Results oriented, services focused human resource professional with a verifiable track record
  • Must have strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word/Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to maintain a US Government TS/SCI security clearance.

 Essential Functions

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Position is primarily sedentary; work does require moderate amounts of walking.  May carry light to moderately heavy items.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office environment
  • Must embrace Beyond Zero/Safety principles of Jacobs to include; adhering to safe work practices and standards while performing daily tasks, taking responsibility for own and coworkers’ safekeeping and encouraging others to work safely
  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management
  • Must be able to meet deadlines; establish priorities and accomplish work within the priorities; professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions

 Attendance:

  • With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel requirements are approximately 10-20%

Other Essential Functions:

  • Must be able to maintain a TS/SCI security clearance 
  • Must pass drug and alcohol testing
  • Must be able to read and write effectively in English
