Summary

Strategically and functionally lead and manage all areas of the Human Resources Department by planning, directing, implementing, and overseeing human resources policies and activities such as employment, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, and communications. The ideal candidate will have experience in multi-site operations specifically within the healthcare/ medical field. Experienceworking within a fast growing healthcare operation with hands on acquisition and integration background.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

?        Operates as an organizational leader and internal consultant to management in the identification, development, and implementation of business processes.

?        Evaluates business initiatives to determine the appropriate organizational effectiveness interventions needed to meet organizational goals.

?        Develops plans for implementing organizational effectiveness interventions that focus on company values and philosophies.

?        Facilitates the implementation of organizational effectiveness interventions.

?        Provides coaching to leaders and executives on personal and organizational growth.

?        Participates in the identification and development of a competency model to be used throughout various organizational programs.

?        Develops or aligns performance management program with key organizational goals.

?        Confers with management to gain knowledge of specific work situations requiring employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.

?        Identifies and creates a leadership development program to ensure all leaders and potential leaders have the necessary skills to succeed.

?        Acts as a change agent providing the support and mechanism to implement major changes to the operations of the business.

?        Facilitates team building workshops, exercises, or programs to enhance the cohesiveness of teams. 

?        Develops and implements human resources policies to meet organizational needs and comply with state and federal laws.

?        Oversees research of local market rates for positions to assess relationship to organization compensation plan, determining if and where pay adjustments should be made. Implements communications systems to ensure all locations have access to information in a timely manner.

?        Provides guidelines and oversees management of human resources activities such as recruitment, performance review, benefits, training, and employee relations, and resolves problems requiring senior management intervention.

?        Conducts regularly scheduled meetings with human resources staff to exchange information and provide ongoing support and problem resolution.

?        Directs development and maintenance of human resources information systems to ensure record keeping and reporting requirements are accurate and timely.

?        Analyzes trends at each location in turnover, hiring, promotions, separations, and grievances to determine support or action needed to adjust unfavorable trends.

?        Oversees training at each location in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, sexual harassment, and diversity awareness.

?        Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.

?        Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.

?        Evaluates human relations and work-related problems and meets withsupervisors and managers to determine effective remediation techniques, such as job skill training or personal intervention, to resolve human relations issues among personnel.

?        Develops and conducts training to instruct organization managers, supervisors, and workers in human relations skills such as supervisory skills, conflict resolution skills, interpersonal communication skills, and effective group interaction skills.

?        Schedules individuals for technical job-related skills training to improve individual work performance.

?        Capable and responsible of leading a team of HR Business Partners in field locations to execute corporate HR strategies, principles and guidelines with multi-site locations

?        Leads the strategic functions of Benefit Administration, Performance Management, Recruiting, Employee Relations, Compliance and Training and Development, Communications and Compensation

?        Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan

?        Prepares personnel forecast to project employment needs.

?        Writes directives advising department managers of company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits.

?        Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.

?        Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets top management information needs.

?        Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.

?        Studies legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends.

?        Writes and delivers presentations to corporate officers regarding human resources policies and practices.

?        Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

?        Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.

?        Trains management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.

?        Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.

?        Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equitywithin organization.

?        Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.

?        Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.

?        Administers employee leave including FMLA, STD and LTD in compliance with all Federal and State laws.

?        Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises the Human Resources Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources or Business preferred. 7-15years of extensive Human Resources experience in medical office/ healthcare operations with multi facilities.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and HRIS (Ceridian).
