Arbour-Fuller Hospital is a 102-bed licensed, private psychiatric facility located in South Attleboro, Mass. Inpatient units are designed to treat adults with general psychiatric or intellectual disabilities, as well as adolescents with general psychiatric issues. Patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders can be treated on most units. There are also partial hospitalization programs (PHP) for patients with psychiatric and co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders.
Looking for an experienced Director of Health Information Management to oversee our medical records and switchboard operations, with total direct supervision of 5-6 staff. Candidates should have RHIS or RHIT certification along with a minimum of three years of medical records experience with at least one year in a supervisory capacity. Duties include day to day supervision of medical records department and oversight of all Health Information Management activities ensuring compliance with all federal and state HIPAA regulations and regulatory agencies, and accepted industry standards.
High School graduate with excellent interpersonal skills.
Health Information Management department experience, minimum of 3 years in all aspects of the department.
Required: 1 year in a supervisory capacity
Required: RHIS or RHIT certification
Ability to organize department-wide activity, project areas and activity within the department that may need revision and/or implementation to promote updated quality standards. Responsible for supervision of switchboard operations and staff.
Reports to Chief Financial Officer. Relationships with department staff, switchboard staff, medical staff, ancillary departments, outside agencies, some patient contact.
