Duties & Responsibilities

Finance control and support of Project

    • As the partner of the operation, work closely with the operation team to understand the project need, and project key terms and key areas for monitoring
    • Support the operation from the finance perspective when required by the operation
    • Work with the project management team closely to work out the initial project budgeting/forecasting, may include but not limited to the project billing plan, cash flow forecast, and project P/L result forecast
    • Review and audit the project controlling files including but not limited to the PO log, CO log, project cost report, and/or any other project related controlling reports
    • Lead the PA team to update and prepare the PSR report, and lead the periodic review
    • Lead the review of project closing to ensure smooth and accurate closing of the project
    • Work with project team jointly to prepare and review the financial projection on Pira/Tera and other risk review document, and participate in the review meeting to explain when necessary
    • Review and monitor the projects financial performance results including but not limited to the project profitability, project cash flow, project risk profile to ensure the health and wealth situation of the project result
    • Lead the project accounting team to ensure the accuracy of the input into the ERP system to be in line with the contractual rights and/or obligations

Financial control and management on corporate financial results

    • Lead the annual budgeting jointly
    • Monitor the financial result, make the financial analysis comparing to the budget and/or forecast, work out and propose the improvement action plan to the management
    • Lead the quarterly forecasting
    • Lead to review the period financial result, and work out the financial analysis and summary report
    • Lead the team to work out the solid cash flow report, and make variance analysis and/or other analysis when needed/required
    • Work out the ad hoc report required by the management as needed
    • Lead the internal and external audit on entity level

Team management

    • Lead the project accounting team
    • Provide training and guidance to the project accounting team
    • Streamline and standardize the method, process and template when it’s common and effective on the project

Essential Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree with accounting and systems certifications required
    • Must have 10 or more years’ progressive accounting, audit and/or FP&A experience
    • EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) industry or related experience required
    • Working knowledge of the complexities of a global company and ability to operate within a matrix environment in a project environment
    • Must have strong technical financial skills and a comprehensive understanding of project business, cost accounting
    • IFRS accounting knowledge strongly desirable. Oracle experience as a plus.
