It is the primary responsibility of the Director Finance to collaborate and support the Executive Director Finance and Accounting in corporate finance initiatives, processes, and policies at MGM Growth Properties. The Director is expected to have a very strong business acumen, analytical skills, project management skills, organizational ability, communication skills, flexibility, and collaborative ability and will be responsible for evaluating and overseeing complex financial projects, working with department staff as well as company business partners. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Growth Properties policies, practices, and procedures.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop integrated financial and valuation models for the purpose of evaluating strategic opportunities
  • Create financial models to support the development team in the evaluation of development initiatives
  • Support senior management in the evaluation and execution of capital markets, mergers and acquisitions transactions
  • Collaborate with senior management in developing operating budgets, forecasts, and other financial analyses for new business opportunities
  • Help oversee the Company’s compliance with its various debt agreements
  • Provide market research and recommendations to support operating or capital markets decision making
  • Direct Human Resources responsibilities to include: creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment
  • Interface with investors and bank relationships as necessary
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least seven (7) years previous financeexperience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or similar or equivalent education and experience
  • Demonstrated success in financial modeling and analysis with previous experience in private equity, investment banking, or strategy consulting strongly preferred

PREFERRED:

  • CPA or MBA
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
