Essential Job Functions:
- Execute the vision for the bank’s ESG growth strategy, enhanced by a focus and alignment with mission consistent clients
- Develop a growth strategy that is both geographically broad and opportunistic across our client base
- Responsible for creating, identifying, advancing, and closing new business opportunities, in coordination with the Bank’s team of mission aligned Commercial Bankers
- Maintain on-going expertise of the broader ESG investment landscape, including competitors’ strategies, market/industry trends, and best practices
- Lead the planning and execution of ESG conferences and event participation including firm wide ESG strategies, and responsibility for client coordination and inclusion
- Serve as departmental liaison to the Marketing group and assume responsibility for the design, delivery, and implementation of promotion and communication materials for the Bank’s suite of ESG products; including client specific materials such as pitch books and RFP responses
- Develop best sales practices in support of Amalgamated Bank’s ESG program with key performance metrics and goals
- Interact and work with the wider sales group/Managers to provide support for planning initiatives that support the growth and development of the business
- Perform other duties as directed
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, MBA/CFA preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in institutional investment marketing, including a track record of building and developing relationships with client prospects
- A minimum of 5 years overall experience in Sustainable Finance products with integrated ESG factors
- Demonstrated experience presenting to large, high-profile audiences, boards, and investment managers and consultants
- Knowledge of the financial markets and government bodies that regulate the financial markets
- Sustainability Reporting experience, with a successful track record of helping to build strategies
- A proven record of managing and developing people with a values-oriented management style
- Delivering consistent quality work, coupled with outstanding time management, prioritization and organizational skills
- Gravitas, credibility and the ability to influence internally and externally
