The Director of Enterprise Financial Analytics will lead a team of tech savvy professionals with backgrounds across business intelligence, data science, advanced mathematics, and financial systems. The team is chartered at supporting the total company’s financial analytics capability. The leader of this team will be responsible for both directly serving the executive/finance leadership team as well as building out the advanced analytics capability to enable and support the broader finance organization.
The successful candidate will be multi-disciplined with an advanced logical/scientific/mathematical mindset and a background in leveraging technologies to achieve abnormally superior results. This roles focus will be on developing a robust digital platform for monitoring the financials as well as key supporting operational KPIs. Where deviation (to the better or worse) from the expected performance occurs, this team will be responsible for identifying the underlying drivers impacting performance and helping the business leaders to exploit trends to optimize outcomes of the financials/KPIs being monitored.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Development of a robust digital platform for monitoring of financial results and key supporting KPIs
Partnering with the Finance leadership to establish the framework for how we will monitor the financial performance of the company
Partnering with the broader finance organization to leverage the existing knowledgebase
Participating in the Enterprise wide underlying platform rebuild aimed at modernization of our Cognitive Analytic capability
Performing deep and complex analysis to discover underlying business drivers and how to leverage those insights to optimize and impact outcomes
Mentoring, coaching, and inspiring the Enterprise Financial Analytics analysts on the team
Creation of Daily, Weekly, and Monthly informational presentations and/or flashes
Deliver analysis and findings to leadership and business teams…often through formal presentation
Partner with the leadership team and the broader finance/business community to stay abreast of current business concerns, potential opportunities, and information needs
Maintain knowledge and stays current of developments in the fields of technology, business intelligence, data warehousing, data science, and emerging technologies (machine learning, AI, etc.)
Contribute to the broader financial/Enterprise tools roadmap in partnership with Finance/IT leadership

Technical Qualifications: Experience with multiple technologies and discernment of which to apply in different environments and use cases is necessary.
- Ability to extract and integrate data leveraging technologies such as (SQL, Hive, Redshift, Mongo, etc.).
- Ability to develop and automate reporting/analysis as well as operational process using technologies such as (Python, R, Spark, etc.) within Hyperscale environments (AWS, Hadoop, etc.)
- Familiarity with visualization, discovery, & analytic apps such as (Power BI, Tableau, SAS, etc.)
Ability to define problems, collect data, perform analysis, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Demonstrated experience with statistical analysis and other advanced mathematical/logical methods
Familiarity with AI type concepts, machine learning concepts, and advanced automation a plus
Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of senior management, department heads, and the Finance/IT/Business teams
Attention to quality, reconciliation, and accuracy are critical as the audience is often executive level staff and the decisions being made are significant in scope/impact
Creativity and vision to recommend ways to evolve our infrastructure, process, and analytic capabilities
A genuine interest in helping direct and indirect staff learn, develop, and accomplish significant acheivements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Either a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Bus Analytics or related required (with a 2nddegree in Business or Mathematics a plus); or a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting (with a secondary degree in Comp Sci, MIS, Bus Analytics, etc. a plus) and strong track record of leveraging technology and programming capabilities; and
7-15+ years of financial / data / business analysis experience; or
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
