Must Smile and Make Eye Contact. Manages and coordinates hospital-wide education program. The education program maintains and promotes continued staff competency in the provision of patient care to the neonate/infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric population. Assesses quality of education, utilization of nursing process, adherence to employee rights, selection of technology and evaluation of resources. Develops and implements educational program based on needs assessments consistent with QI, Infection Control, Safety and Human Resources, as well as other regulatory agencies. Utilizes effective communication skills and interacts with others in a courteous manner. Assures educational opportunities, participates on committees, maintains activities of the department for trends that identifies needs for improvement. Provides in-services and training for hospital staff, accepts and performs administrative duties, and evaluates educational programs presented. Participates in performance improvement activities to assure continuous quality improvement. Maintains cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers, and all other customers. Promotes a supportive, teamwork-oriented environment and maintains all safety standards. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of CMC.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current GA RN license.
- BSN degreepreferred.
- Basic Healthcare Provider (BLS) instructor certification required and serve as the AHA Training Center Coordinator.
- Previous 5 years nursing experience, at least 3 years progressive leadership or teaching experiencepreferred.
