LaunchDarkly is looking for a strong and experienced leader to join our fast growing marketing team. As Director of Demand Generation, you will manage and grow our existing Demand Generation team encompassing both inbound and outbound teams and marketing operations. You and your team will be responsible for building pipeline and generating new opportunities for our inside, field, and strategic sales teams. You will set the strategy and manage initiatives that will ensure our sales pipeline and revenue targets are not just met, but exceeded.

Your team owns all demand generation channels, including online advertising, paid social, display and retargeting, outbound business development, outdoor, content syndication, ABM, nurture programs, and more. You will also manage our marketing operations team - managing and optimizing our marketing automation systems and other technologies to ensure proper reporting and analytics. You will work closelywith the rest of the marketing organization to make sure our website is optimized for conversions and has the necessary content to inspire prospective customers to opt-in for our free trial or to request a demo of our platform.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and hire a team of demand generation, marketing operations, and sales development managers
  • Set demand generation strategy, budget, and manage the execution of a diverse set of programs
  • Work closely with other marketing teams to support their initiatives, such as field events, trade shows,content marketing, Trajectory (our annual conference), and community programs
  • Further develop and mature our Enterprise marketing strategy and programs (Account Based Marketing), including selecting and implementing necessary tools and services
  • Report and analyze all demand generation programs to validate they have a positive return on investment

Who You Are:

  • 10+ yrs experience in demand generation, digital marketing, or similar fields
  • 2+ yrs managing demand generation teams
  • Excellent management skills, motivational, and empathetic
  • Highly analytical - knowing how to measure program effectiveness from start to finish
  • Experience in the SaaS B2B space targeting technical audiences, including developers and senior technical leadership
  • Ability to balance strategic initiatives with managing the day-to-day execution of demand generation programs
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Goal-oriented and able to manage complex projects across teams
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts
