This position is located in Pleasanton, California. Position Purpose: Albertson’s Companies is looking for people who are interested in re-imagining the grocery experience by harnessing the power of digital technologies. The Product Management team has broad responsibility to leverage digital technologies to build best in class customer experiences and maximize return on investment. The Senior Director, Shopping Experience defines a digital product vision and roadmap that will allow Albertson’s Companies deliver the brand promise of being customers favorite local supermarket. The Senior Director is responsible for driving a vision and leading a team of product managers that build business cases, defines, drives, and measures ecommerce and omnichannel product features and capabilities. Goal: Deliver customer and business value through new product development and optimization Areas of responsibility: All products related to the base digitalexperience funnel (navigation, search, product info, checkout, sign-in, recipes, etc.) Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The Director of Product Management’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: •Ecommerce Product Capability Oversight: •Create and manage a customer centric product vision •Partner with business and technology stakeholders to establish a strategy to execute against the product vision •Directly and indirectly manage teams and coordinate individual capability opportunity assessments •Align product vision and execution strategy with relevant executives across Albertson’s Companies Inc. •Harness modern technology to accelerate and innovate on new capabilities •Working with business and technology partners, Establish and advocate a roadmap, and secure portfolio funding •Lead a team of product manager’s team responsible for discovery, definition, and execution of individual capability roadmaps •Manage a capability backlog and KPIs •Highlight and advocate for necessary business process and org changes required to successfully drive the product strategy People Leadership: •Coach Product Managers as they respond to project escalations with an assessment of the business implications of changes to project scope, timeline, or resources •Build, lead and inspire Product Managers each responsible for defining and delivering the digital in store product capability roadmap •Create and foster career development and growth paths for team members in alignment with company, product and personal objectives •Create clear and measurable goals and objectives for the team related to the creation and enhancement of timely, high-quality products that support critical business objectives, requirements change management, and partnership with cross-functional teams •Raise awareness of team’s plans, insights and accomplishments to facilitate cooperation across departments and to build a highly performing, highly motivated team •Assist direct reports with ongoing prioritization and resource allocation to ensure that the crucial business initiatives are delivered •Hiring, retention, and succession planning •Functional/Organizational Development: •Establish and manage domain identity, KPIs, best practices •Support one or two annual team goals to help support maturity and development of the larger Product organization •Recommend and/or changes necessary to drive and refine greater product management effectiveness Qualifications: • 7-9 years’ relevant professional experiencerequired • 6-8 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: product marketing, product/program management, business development, management consulting desired, but not required • Strong product management background • 3-5 years’ experience managing direct reports • Internet and ecommerce experience highly desirable • Usability and customer-focused design experiencerequired • Experience with A/B testing and Yield management Respond to: Interested candidates are encouraged to submit a resume by visiting www.careersatsafeway.com.
