The Director of Culinary Operations under the general direction of the Executive Director of Food and Nutrition Services or designee, responsible for the program development, oversight, direction and administration of the system wide Culinary Program for the Southcoast Hospital Group. You will have
24-hour responsibility and regulatory accountability for the culinary and procurement operations, assuring safe, quality, efficient food handling, preparation and service of food for all customer groups. Duties include supervisory responsibility for assigned personnel and activities including selection, orientation and training of personnel; initiation of personnel action recommendations; workforce planning and development and fiscal accountability for establishing and controlling operating budgets. Guide individuals and groups toward desired outcomes, setting high performance standards and delivering exceptional quality services.

Education and Experience:A Bachelor’s degree in related area or certified culinary arts diploma from an accredited culinary school. Certified Executive Chef Credentials from the American Culinary Federation preferred. Minimum of 10 years of culinary experience with at least 8 years in a healthcare setting and 5 at the Executive Chef level, 2 of which within a multi-site environment.
