Kforce has a client in New York, NY seeking a Director of Credit and Capital Management. Overview: This individual needs to have exposure to capital call facilities/subscription facilities. This role is primarily focused on the risk assessment of a portfolio of Specialty Fund Managers and their funds (real estate, credit, infrastructure, private equity, etc.) as well as, analyzing new managers/funds for approval of capital call lending facilities and/or derivatives trading limit requests. This role acts as the primary interface between front-line businesses and Risk. The Director of Credit and Capital Management will define and review International and Institutional Banking's risk strategy, manage its credit process, maintain and support International and Institutional Banking pricing platform, undertake portfolio optimization for I&IB, and drive a consistent and efficient approach to related processes. This role would have responsibilities in the following areas:

  • Research and Analysis (RandA)
  • RandA focuses on the production of high quality, globally consistent, time sensitive analytics to support I&IB Credit Risk decisions
  • Additionally, ensures that a well-managed framework of controls is in place to understand and manage risks in I&IB's portfolio

Key RandA tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Assess customer and transaction credit
  • Review customer rating
  • Monitor customer creditworthiness
  • Hold primary accountability for Well Managed process
  • Perform qualitative industry and portfolio reviews
  • Review of quantitative portfolio reviews
  • Review of data quality
  • Exercise of CAD
  • Support Relationship Management and customer interface


Critical Key requirements of the role are:

  • Degree educated
  • 5+ years of credit experience (level of experience will effect grade)
  • Experience analyzing Asset Managers and familiarity with capital call lending to Specialty Funds
  • Experience conducting a customer due diligence
  • Sound product (markets) and legal (ISDA, CSA etc.) experience
  • Sound credit/risk assessment skills, specifically an understanding of capital call lending facilities, including the ability to analyze the structural elements and identify associated risks in these credit facilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interface with clients
  • Strong product and legal documentation capabilities, with an ability to leverage bank resources to deliver seamlessly to the customer
  • Self-motivated and proactive
