Axon is seeking to hire an energetic leader who can help us to create a world-class business development and M&A corporate strategic function.
The Director of Corporate Strategy & Business Development will partner with Axon's other teams in a matrix-like fashion, daily monitoring news flow, tracking the law enforcement technology landscape, and helping us to build a pipeline of companies with which we could partner, invest in, or acquire.
You are energized at the thought of building a process and function that serves the entire organization, enabling product, sales and operations leadership to make build/buy/partner decisions well, faster, and at a higher pace and volume, utilizing data and sound business development processes.
You take capital stewardship seriously, knowing how to strategically value acquisition targets, and must possess key communication and negotiation skills that would allow Axon and its partners to arrive at win-win decisions quickly. You are expected to develop and maintain relationships with multiple principles across the startup, private company, VC and PE landscapes, as well as be able to develop, sign, and execute business partnerships across multiple facets of our business, with assistance from Axon Legal where appropriate.
