The Director will lead a new team to govern and enhance policy documents across the enterprise and develop affiliated procedures to support these processes. Further, the Director will establish and execute the strategy to validate adherence to policies. Success in this position will require the Director to establish strong relationships across the enterprise, including at the executive level, develop and execute strategies and supporting processes, establish metrics and reporting to measure success, and independently identify risk through undefined processes or ways that are not predetermined.

This role requires core strengths in Communication (both written and verbal), Results Focus, Problem Solving, and Strategic and Analytical Thinking. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with and influencing executives, a commitment to collaboration and teamwork, and the ability to influence, be strategic, and results-focused.


  • Leads the Corporate Policy Governance and Adherence team
  • Develops the strategy and provides oversight of the processes to govern, improve consistency for, and monitor adherence to policies
  • Engages in the review of policy documents and partners with policy stakeholders to drive consistency and improve content in policy documents
  • Establishes him/her/themself as a subject matter expert on corporate policies
  • Oversees validation on identified policy requirement monitoring activities to ensure policies have adequate governance, evidence of execution, and appropriate escalation
  • Develops clear and concise communications (written and presented) and insightful and forward-looking reporting
  • Identifies emerging risks, process improvements, or areas for increased training
  • Provides effective challenge to the business where appropriate
  • Performs and supports detailed data analysis to include trending and issue identification, as needed
  • Manages work across organizational lines to achieve results and manages competing priorities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 6 years of audit or risk management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or JD
  • At least 8 years of risk management experience
  • Experience writing policy documents
  • Project or Process management experience
