Bustle Digital Group is seeking a Director of Content Strategy to lead creative development, programming and content strategy within our video team. This person’s primary goal will be to grow Bustle’s Youtube channel and make informed decisions about the video content we develop and create. Equal parts creative and data driven, the Director of Content Strategy should be well versed in the YouTube landscape and what type of content, formats and talent partnerships resonate on the platform.
Audience growth and engagement will be the key metric for success in this role. In addition to YouTube, this person should be able to advise across the many social platforms BDG operates on. This person should be adept at data analysis and analytics and use data and competitive research to inform the guidance they provide to the rest of the team, being a gate-keeper of best practices and educating the team on what content resonates and why.
Our ideal applicant is a big proponent of both YouTube and digital media. This person will help manage our YouTube page while working with producers on original series development, execution, strategic partnerships, and distribution strategies.
On branded video projects, this person may be tasked with advising on formats, topic areas, and content optimization strategies backed by data and insights.
