Develop and implement creative assets and best practices to ensure content is consistently and effectively positioned across all target segments Act as “editor in chief” to ensure a consistent style and voice across content.
Partner with Demand Generation, Customer Marketing, and Product Marketing teams to ensure content is aligned to each target segment, drives lead generation with high quality MQLs, support customer adoption and expansions, and positions.
Alation as a thought leader Leverage content metrics and reporting to measure the impact of content assets, facilitate optimization and clearly communicate what is working and not working to educate cross-functional teams.
Partner with demand and digital team to understand SEO initiatives and utilize to continuously refine processes, themes, and content plan to meet desired goals.
Manage the blog; create blog posts and execute guest posting strategy.
Develop and maintain a functional content calendar including blog calendar based on audience insights, keyword research, messaging themes, and campaign plans.
Manage a small team of writers to deliver exceptional work in a fast paced environment.
Ensure all content is consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, mobile, video, and print.
Facilitate monthly and quarterly planning sessions with cross-functional teams.
Implement standards, systems, best practices and templates for content.
7+ years of experience in producing and managing content strategy and execution, preferably for a data technology company.
At least 2-3 years of team management experience.
A background in journalism preferred but not essential.
Strong writing skills with a demonstrated ability to tell stories and connect with audiences.
Experience in creating various types of content such as eBooks, whitepapers, infographics, guides, blogs, etc.
Strong project management, organization, and creative business writing skills.
Understand how to build a content program, not just write content.
Working knowledge of design and editorial principles for both traditional and digital-first content.
Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
Team player with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team across geographies.
Self-motivated and able to handle multiple, competing priorities with urgency.
Analytical mind - ability to spot patterns and trends in content performance and data.
Demonstrated success collaborating across departments and mobilizing content contributors and cross-functional teams around long-term projects and efforts.
