POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Compensation oversees the planning, development, implementation, and management of F5’s global compensation program, including base pay and global short-term and long-term incentive programs. This role is responsible for global broad-based compensation strategy and execution. The Director, Compensation will work closely with HR, Finance, Legal, and other leadership teams across F5 to ensure our ability to attract, motivate, and retain talent.
Reporting to the VP of Total Rewards, this position will provide expertise, innovative thinking, and strategic leadership in the overall management of F5’s compensation programs. The Director of Compensation will stay current on market trends, best and next practices, pending legislation, and regulatory requirements impacting global compensation practices and policies. This role will ensure F5’s compensation program supports a high-performance, human-first culture and aligns with the organization’s people strategies.
This collaborative, hands-on role provides consultative support for client groups within F5, working with the Total Rewards Team, HR Business Partners, Recruiting, Talent Team, managers, and business leaders.

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $185,600.00 - $278,400.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
