Job Description:

The Director of Global Compensation is responsible for leading efforts in design, planning, development, and administration of Epiq's global compensation strategies and practices to attract, retain, and reward our employees. This position will serve as a subject matter expert in compensation and will provide consulting support across all functions in U.S. and International locations. The Director of Global Compensation must effectively design and implement solutions in consideration of mergers and acquisitions that bring potentially diverging compensation plans together. Furthermore, they must continuously monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures and provide recommendations that are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends in the marketplace and company objectives. Finally, this leader must effectively interface with the executive management team, collaborate across all business and functional channels, and serve as a highly integrated member of the HR team.


  • Lead the design and administration of new and existing pay programs globally in order to ensure the company remains competitive to the applicable market, and is able to attract, retain and motivate current and potential U.S. and International employees.
  • Proactively support the company's strategic initiatives through the design of pay programs (compensation philosophy, base pay, incentives and other strategic pay plans).
  • Research both strategic and tactical issues and recommend changes to compensation programs/philosophy as appropriate. Lead implementation efforts, project management, and coordination with other teams as necessary, for any approved initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to compensation policy, procedure and administration globally by ensuring the team is conducting regular audits and maintaining resources related to current regulations.
  • Oversee the design, development, and administration of base pay, incentive and reward and recognition programs in support of company goals and philosophy. Oversee the sourcing and participation in salary surveys to ensure compensation objectives are achieved.
  • Active involvement in acquisitions to align the future combined organization with a compensation strategy for success.
  • Develop communication and education on compensation policies globally, market survey results and overall compensation strategy to educate leadership team and provide guidance in resolving employee compensation challenges.
  • Provide support and administration for the company's equity programs.
  • Communicate and present to executive management on compensation programs and updates as necessary. Offer recommendations and sound advice in order to drive efficiency, equity, market competitiveness and soundness of all compensation related programs and processes.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to executive team responsible for leading the administration of sales compensation plans.
  • Reviews and consolidates existing programs in order to support Epiq's compensation strategy.
  • Teams with HR (Business Partners and Talent Acquisition) to ensure that executive and broad-based pay programs are aligned and support individual, business unit and corporate performance goals.

  • 10 plus years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in total rewards or compensation
  • Executive compensation, incentives and sales commission design experience
  • Mergers and Acquisitions experience
  • International compensation exposure
  • Working understanding of accounting rules related to compensation and incentives
  • Understands and uses analytics and data to support compensation decisions and recommendations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional and/or legal services or business process outsourcing experience highly desirable
