Functions/Duties of PositionThe Director of Clinical Operations position purpose is to support the Department Administrator and Clinical Vice Chair in the clinical operations and business needs. Provide leadership and management for entire clinical support structure in the department. This individual is responsible for strategic planning and initiatives internal to OHSU and external partnerships. Also responsible for business analytics, financial reporting, quality and peer reviews, and supporting the business needs with our community partners.Job RequirementsRequired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration or related field
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience showing progressive increase in responsibilities in clinical practice/business development
  • Experience creating complex financial models and strategic planning
  • Ability to analyze market data and present using strategic planning
  • Proven experience in customer service environment
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Thorough understanding of customer service and patient satisfaction
  • Clear, concise communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and exercise time management
  • Collaborative approach to all responsibilities
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in healthcare administration or related field
  • Experience as Practice Manager in academic medicine and/or specialty practice
  • Proficiency in use of OHSU electronic applications and systems (may include: EPIC, Oracle, COGNOS)
  • Experience with Lean management principles
