Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Director of Casino Marketing partners with the Vice President of Marketing to assist in the creation and execution of the overall VIP Marketing Strategy.  Flawlessly executes the VIP Marketing Strategy and creates a culture of exceptional service and hospitality focused on the VIP customer at Horseshoe Baltimore, while at the same time creating a team of creative and driven hosts who know how to build relationships with and sell to customers. When combined, this will lead to loyalty and growth in revenue and profit from the VIP customer segment.  Partners with the Regional Vice President of Marketing, Enterprise Shared Services, and property operational leaders in the creation, implementation, and execution of VIP programming, including but not limited to, entertainment, promotions, VIP Events, offsite events, cross-property opportunities, and otherMarketing programs focused on enhancing loyalty and visitation from our VIP customers.


·      Partners in the creation and leads the execution of the Casino Marketing strategy which builds long-term relationships with VIP customers and strengthens brand value

·      Direct department team member development, training, and evaluation establishing a motivated, professional, and accountable team. Serves as a champion of team member morale, motivation, and open communication

·      Oversees the development and maintenance of the VIP customer marketing strategy that increases market share and profitability

·      Oversees the development and implementation of new programs to ensure high quality patronage and player migration to VIP from non-VIP through personalized services and attention

·      Responsible for ensuring customer development on the casino floor as well as outside solicitation of guests via personal contact and group affiliations

·      Builds a culture that motivates and rewards team members for their efforts toward acquiring new business throughout the Baltimore region

·      Oversees the creation, development, and hosting of all on- and off-property events to maintain customer loyalty, develop new players, and re-establish patronage of inactive players

·      Ensures full adoption and consistent utilization of CRM tools and strategies in support of telemarketing; sales and relationship building efforts; player preferences; extension of offers and rewards; and conversion into visitation and increased loyalty

·      Establishes department performance goals, monitoring, and reporting on results for all assigned programs and staff

·      Oversee patron complimentary, credit, and discount procedures in accordance with company policy and profitability standards

·      Responsible for department P&Ls and forecasting expenses

·      Develop programs and train Casino Marketing team on assisting customers with procedures for establishing check-cashing privilege, credit, and reservations as appropriate

·      Must assure that all team members under supervision display exceptional customer service to all guests by communicating in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times

·      Acts as a role model and coach while developing team members using a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulates expectations

·      Assist guests with any and all reasonable customer service requests

·      Plan, analyze, evaluate, and report on all casino marketing programs and staff

·      Assists in the the development and implementation of annual Casino Marketing Plan, including Financial Plan

·      Directly responsible for revenue and profit targets, including the detailed analysis and reporting of gaming revenue and associated cost

·      Create and develop Casino Marketing program budgets and strategies with the assistance of staff

·      Management and adherence to all regulatory and internal control procedures, as they pertain to marketing

·      Performs the analysis and definition of the market for growth and development

·      Must be able to successfully manage all casino marketing areas while attaining a progressively increasing scope of responsibility

·      Lead an organization with methods and actions that are ethical and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies

·      Identify compliance risks and take actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks

·      Champion, within the organization, a commitment to honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior

·      Create a compliance culture within the organization and foster an environment where employees feel comfortable reporting potential violations or misconduct

·      Performs all other duties as assigned



•     Bachelor’s Degree in business-related field, MBA preferred

•     5+ years experience marketing in the casino industry or 3+ years in casino marketing



•     Must have excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal and communication skills

•     Must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

•     Must be comfortable and adept with public speaking

•     Must be detail-oriented and thorough with prompt, flexible working hours
