Responsible for the day-to-day operations, frequent directpatient care contact, assurance of qualitypatient care, and the implementation and planning of existing and future programs within the scope of Cardiopulmonary Dept.  Effectively supervises,recruits,schedules, evaluates, orients and disciplines personnel in the Cardiopulmonary Services Dept. This is a working supervisor role and is able to work all shifts as necessary.

Job Requirements

Requires Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent degree; Active Colorado License; National Certification or Registry, BLS within 3 months of hire; and ACLS within one year of hire.  NRP and PALS preferred. A minimum of two years recent experience in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation with administrative responsibilities preferred, but not required.  Position requires knowledge of guidelines, protocols, policies, and theory and practice needed for pulmonary and cardiac patients in regards to their related illnesses and state; knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to deliver patient care; skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of cardiac & pulmonary rehab and respiratory care to provide on-going patient care; ability to act in a supervisory role, perform effective performance evaluations, mentor, coach and discipline staff; ability to lead committees, take minutes, and document committee activities; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, peers, medical staff, and all customers; ability to manage a budget; ability to maintain quality control standards;  ability to interpret, apply and adhere to guidelines, policies, and procedures, ability to gain knowledge of organizational policies, regulations, and procedures and The Joint Commission Standards; ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing; ability to maintain confidentiality of all information; demonstration of and strong commitment to excellent customer service; ability to utilizes good assessment skills and intervention techniques; ability to work independently, be self-motivated/directed and work with minimal supervision, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and be flexible, ability to establish priorities, ability to meet deadlines, effective skills in identifying problems, using problem-solving methodologies, and recommending solutions, ability to complete complex tasks in a timely manner, ability to think critically, ability to work well under stressful conditions with time constraints; ability to prepare professional written correspondence and reports; ability to exercise outstanding judgment; strong analytical and reasoning skills; and ability to work with multiple computer programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and others as needed.
