Job Description

Drive profitable growth in the practice by developing and executing compelling business plans in three key areas:

?      Sales management, training, and leadership of experienced and novice financial advisors to drive revenue and asset growth.

?      Recruiting experienced advisors and securing practice acquisitions, and effectively managing a recruiting pipeline with quality experienced advisor recruits and practice acquisition candidates.

?      Managing and growing a profitable personal book of business.

 

Responsibilities

?      Drive growth in assets, high value clients, and revenue by effectively leading advisors in multiple offices. Support a large geography with strong market potential.

?      Lead the development/training of key advisor skills, including high value client acquisition, referrals, implementing a financial planning practice, driving sales implementation with clients.

?      Work with Owner and COO to develop ongoing business planning and development through both organic and inorganic strategies.

?      Coordinate advisor development opportunities leveraging all available resources to improve client acquisition, financial planning and product implementation skills. Develop understanding of advisors' strengths and weaknesses and create individualized growth plans that support client acquisition, asset gathering and product implementation.

?      Personally engage advisors through effective 1:1s, attending client meetings, and delivering individual and group sales training. Hold advisors accountable to mutually agreed upon growth goals and the initiatives/action items committed to. Effectively influence and drive advisors to adopt proven behaviors to drive business results.

?      Develop recruiting strategy (including experienced advisor recruits, practice acquisition, and novice advisors) based on in-depth region knowledge, market conditions and performance of the competition. Manage recruiting pipeline and drive targeting and selection process. Develop unique value proposition and grow overall number of advisors utilizing localized recruiting strategies.

?      Identify target practices for acquisition and develop support for transition in partnership with corporate practice acquisition group.

?      Develop personal book of business and drive personal practice. Facilitate effective sales meetings and marketing events. Service the client: analyzing client cases and providing a broad set of product solutions.

Required Qualifications

?      Demonstrated success as a leader. Ability to motivate and inspire a team to produce increasing levels of results.

?      Demonstrated ability working in a fast-paced environment, and previous experience successfully managing multiple competing priorities.

?      Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

?      10+ applicable years?experience.

?      Series 7, Series 63 or Series 66 (State Securities), Series 65 or Series 66 (IAR), Life license, Variable Contracts license.

?      Maintain state securities registrations in resident state, place of business, and states where securities-based compensation is received (Series 63 or 66).

?      Maintain an insurance license in resident state, place of business, and states where insurance-based compensation is received.

?      Maintain Investment Advisor Representative registration in investment advisor representative states with a place of business (Series 65 or 66).

?      Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

?      Strong consultative salesexperience.

?      Strong attention to detail required. 

?      Previous experience working collaboratively with a wide variety of partners required.

 

Preferred Qualifications

?      MBA

?      CFP Designation

?      Strong knowledge of Ameriprise Financial products, platforms and systems
