Director of Business Development - Strategic Channels Recruitment

We are one of the fastest-growing Business Class Unified Communications firms in the world and are currently looking for a Director of Business Development, Strategic Channels. In this role you will serve as a key member of the sales organization and execute strategic business development initiatives with leading technology companies. This person will also take part in building a large ecosystem of strategic and technological alliances, help refining Star2Star’s overall partnership strategy working closely with the product, engineering, marketing and sales teams.
Your Role:
- Have a keen understanding of our industries market dynamics and the underlying product solutions offered by Star2Star
- Develop and recruit a pipeline of new Strategic partnership opportunities in the categories of: Wholesale, Private Label and Carrier
- Qualify, structure, negotiate, close, strategic partnerships that will drive technology adoption, revenue, and customer acquisition
- Be an influencing leader by partnering with product, engineering, marketing, to explore and execute strategic partnership opportunities
- Be seasoned enough to manage complex relationships, hungry enough to prospect and build up a new partnershipportfolio, and flexible enough to adapt to change in our fast-growing industry
Your Background:
- 7+ years of experience working in technology in a business development or Partner Acquisition
- Ability to influence and build relationships with people across all levels and organizations internally and externally
- Extensive industry contacts and ability to navigate technologylandscape
- Technically savvy, experienced with the cloud, UCaaS, APIs, SaaS, PaaS
- Proven experience to develop, negotiate and structuring complex deals
- Great at execution: results-driven, detail-oriented, organized self-starter
- Creative, critical and solution-first thinker with client service mentality
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with an ability to speak effectively to business development leaders, executives, product managers and engineers
- Can handle multiple projects and priorities in an extremely fast paced environment
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales goals; yes we like to see the data
- Consummate team player and collaborator with internal and external resources throughout the sales process
