Seeking Business Development Director to promote and sell Clinical, Bioanalytical and Scientific Affairscontract services to meet or exceed annual revenue targets and to attract sales.
*** Develop and maintain a territory plan containing identification of tradeshows, seminars, industry groups, and regional groups; providing feedback to marketing on successful activities and proactively suggesting new ideas; and methods to grow accounts in assigned territory.
***Supportmarketing strategies, advertising, and growth opportunities including analytical capabilities, new therapeutic areas, and selection of markets.
*** Seek new business prospects using cold calls and contact database searches to meet set targets for face-to-face meetings, site visits, visits with operational staff to increase knowledge of services, and proposal activity.
*** Manage account relationships including interacting with clients, passing on information to project management upon contract signature, addressing issues after contract signature, and measuring client satisfaction to identify areas of improvement.
*** Utilize Customer Relationship Management system to manage accounts, plan for future sales targets and assist more junior sales staff with reporting.
*** Cultivate knowledge of the drug development process, including study procedures at clinical sites, clinical monitoring functions, drug safety and regulatory affairs issues, data flow from clinical sites to internal processing, statistical analysis, report generation, and relevant regulatory requirements and guidelines such as Therapeutic Products Directorate, Food and Drug Administration, European Medicines Agency, Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, International Conference on Harmonisation, and Therapeutic Goods Administration.
***Bachelor of Science in a life sciences discipline.
***8+ years of business development experience in a CRO or pharmaceutical environment.
