Kitchell is seeking an experienced Business Development who can help us grow our company by developing and implementing a comprehensive internal and external sales plan that would increase revenues and profits to support the Company's business plan.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Responsible for the overall execution of the company’s strategic marketing plan and Customer Relationship activities.

  •  Perform market research and analysis. 

  •  Evaluate and advise on the latest trends in the industry.

  • Provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding owner needs and generate value proposition.

  •  Manage the value proposition throughout the pursuit process. 

  •  Ensure that business development activities enhance the company’s ability to increase revenue and profit.   

  •  Plan and coordinate the implementation of annual business plans.

  •  Devise and implement the company’s sales strategy.

  • Conduct regular meetings with client leaders to assess company performance.

  • Take on overall responsibility for implementing and maintaining best practices with respect to opportunity response.

  • Oversee and effectively coach interview teams.

  •  Monitor the sales activities of competitors and utilizing ideas where appropriate.

  •  Working closely with internal customers to secure large projects.

  •  Take ownership of the management of the company’s client leader training program.

  •  Implement an effective sales pipeline and lead tracking process.

  •  Ensure the CRM is being used effectively and provides a competitive advantage.

  •  Monitor the effectiveness of the company’s customer satisfaction surveys.

  •  Implement best practice in sales techniques throughout the department.

  •  Develop budgets for industry outreach, client contact events and otherevents that highlight company services.

  •  Actively engage in public speaking to internal and external customers regarding marketing, business development and company’s business services.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Possess the ability to identify prospects and develop strategies for targeted opportunities

  • Previous success in developing, managing, and mentoring staff

  • Effective presentation, oral and written communication skills

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Communication or related technical degree highly preferred

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in business development or related position

  • Must have industry experience that includes closing sales on commercial construction projects in excess of $50 million
