About the Role
The Director of Business Development will be assigned to the Redspin division of CynergisTek (CTEK), leading them into new regulated markets. CTEK continues to be a proven leader in advising the healthcare industry related to privacy, compliance, and IT security risks. It is the desire of CTEK to leverage those years of experience and expand into related regulated markets. The Director of Business Development will leverage inherent market knowledge and CTEK’s highly skilled subject matter experts to generate interest and grow net new business. This position will make an impact by providing information security, privacy, and compliance consulting services to a variety of regulated industries.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidates must possess a “builder mentality” who effectively researches industry trends and needs while developing great relationships with clients. This opportunity is ideal for a business development professional with an entrepreneurial mindset and an ability to build a book of business from scratch. Has a strong network of existing relationships within decision-makers and influencers in at least one regulated industry. Ideally, experienced selling cybersecurity services, including assessments, incident response, and security transformation. Offers familiarity with penetration testing, red teaming, application security, cloud security, and architecture reviews.
This individual will need to provide excellent organizational, networking, communication, and negotiating skills. Able to develop and foster relationships, providing intelligence on industry trends and market opportunities. Someone who actively participates in various online and in-person security groups (e.g., roundtables, conferences, social media, and other professional security networks) and provide input for product development and services.
