Representative Duties And Tasks


The overall responsibility of this position is develop and execute a business development strategy for the Federal business area of Presidio with a specific focus on DOD and Intel


Associated Duties


  • Partners with Outside Sales, Marketing and Engineering to support current GTM Strategy and Capture pursuits which support the business development metrics for awards, submits, and pipeline growth.
  • Identifies, develops, and implements near-term and long-term business strategies that provide the Federal business an opportunity to grow revenue
  • Provide strategic direction and focus to influence product roadmaps and development to maximize company strength's while leveraging industry partnerships for applicable technologies;
  • Gather key data to ensure strategy is well informed and complete;
  • Provide independent analysis and recommendations for strategy opportunities, resources, and execution plans;
  • Conduct analysis and make recommendations for strategic partnerships and candidate acquisitions;
  • Coordinate and communicate strategy formulation efforts and products with stakeholders;
  • Facilitate business development teams effort to establish and maintain strategic partnerships across government and industry in support of overall strategy;
  • Travel as Needed- 10-25%

Required Qualifications/Skills


  • Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of Business Development/Strategy related experience
  • Proven track record of successful BD/Capture and pipeline management across Federal government portfolio
  • Experience working directly with Federal government
  • Demonstrated access to key government customers and industry partners
  • Ability to use automated tools such as Microsoft Office to present ideas, information, and reports and a customer relationship management to track opportunities and manage pipeline
  • Must live in DC area- VA/MD/DC

Preferred Qualifications/Skills


  • Secret level Clearance- minimum
  • Experience working directly with Defense Community and DoD personnel
  • Experience with Government/DoD budget, investments and acquisition processes
  • Leadership skills to develop, organize and execute significant capture activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans to shape acquisitions, in order to respond to and win business with new and existing customers
  • Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish a solid working relationship with senior management, technical staff, division managers, and peers in the Group and across Leidos
  • Experience Managing a pipeline of Federal opportunities- Salesforce.com
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the Federal Contracting Rules and Regulations
