We’re seeking an entrepreneurial and highly motivated sales leader to grow and manage the ITS/Traffic management/Smart Cities business in North America. The candidate is required to work with the leadership team to establish and execute a go-to-market strategy, which includes forging partnerships with different system integrators, distributors, and resellers in the industry. The role involves prospecting, establishing business relationships, managing proof of concept projects, and closing business. Experience in managing traffic management and ITS projects is highly desired. Familiarity with the Lidar space is a big plus. Otherwise the candidate will be expected to quickly learn about the technology and articulate the AEye product differentiation to prospective partners and customers.

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop, and grow new relationships with leading system integrators and distributors in the traffic management/ITS space.
Work collaboratively with the sales leadership to establish and execute on sales and business development strategy
Lead the outreach to relevant stakeholders to propose AEye’s technology for traffic management and ITS applications.
Educate prospective customers and partners on the benefits of AEye’s intelligent Lidar sensing for ITS and traffic management.
Expand the sales team, train and manage the new hires.
Generate opportunities across different sales cycles to meet both strategic and tactical goals
Draft meeting and project reports
Meet or exceed the company's revenues and bookings goals.
Essential Skills and Requirements:
Highly motivated with a strong track record in developing customer relationships, closing sales and regional territory management with distribution networks.
A minimum of 5 years experience in the ITS (Intelligent Traffic Systems) or Smart mobility industries
Entrepreneurial, hardworking, and resourceful with experience in managing sales teams and the ability to work with other team members in managing all aspects of a business deal and ensure the organization’s goals are met.
Must have excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development and channel management.
Bachelor degree in business or technical field (an MBA or equivalent is a plus)
