Director of Adeno-associated Viral Vectors Production
Biotechnology company developing gene editingtechnology and gene therapy derived from human adeno-associated viral vectors seeks Director to design and implement immune-based assay strategies supporting preclinical and clinical programs and serve as liaison to external alliance partners, contract research organizations, vendors, academics, and others.
*** Lead the development immune-based strategy to characterize adeno-associated viral hematopoietic stem cell (AAVHSC) vectors pre-clinically and prepare for transition to the clinic.
***Investigate host immune response to novel AAVHSC vectors using molecular and cell biology techniques such as Enzyme-Linked ImmunoSpot, neutralizing antibody assays, fluorescence-activated cell sorting, digital droplet polymerase chain reaction, quantitativepolymerase chain reaction, and in vivo animal modeling techniques.
*** Oversee external development of nonclinical immune-assays supporting clinical development programs including managing project communications and preparing, shipping, and documenting reagents.
*** Serve as company representative for management of programs at external contract research organizations, academic centers, and research partners.
*** Manage data and maintain databases and electronic notebooks as the projects advance through the research pipeline.
*** Master of Science or PhD.
***5+ years of viral vector experience.
